Born to two young pastors in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I assumed I'd become a woman of the cloth just as soon as I could convince a seminary to give me a degree. After twenty-odd years, the closest I've gotten to officially shepherding God's flock is a two-minute ordination from universallifechurch.com and a tendency to indulge in long-winded re-tellings of Bible stories.

Instead of leading a congregation, I'm an adventurous, deeply curious writer with a penchant for music, sandwiches, and good stories.  I've covered local news, music, and lifestyle for a handful of publications in Seattle (check out my portfolio and resume) and am now the social media coordinator for a local business in Lynnwood, WA.
